From the Marne to the Saône

From Port sur Saône

You will sail here on quiet waters bordered with typical villages that will reveal you the history of the river : Port-sur-Saône, a gallo-roman village, Gray that will appeal to you with the treasures of its patrimony ; unless you have chosen to sail up the east canal to discover the very woody landscape of the Vosges department : there, you will be charmed by the quietness and the intact nature. Don't Forget your binoculars !

From Champigny-lès-Langres

Created in 1862 to join Champagne to Bourgogne, the canal from the Marne river to the Saône river winds along its long ribbon in the middle of a green landscape, punctuated the first was the one of Langres, historical city where Diderot was born, listed among the most so beautiful towns in France with its citadel situated at the top of a rocky outcrop which suggests you a magnificent view on the canal, from its ramparts walk". In the north, you will discover the Champagne-Ardenne area, with Chaumont, and in the south, you will join the Saône and the gateways to Burgundy

From Dole and Montbéliard

Dole, the ancient capital of Comté, the gateway to Jura and the cradle of Pasteur, is situated in the heart of a marvellous area watered with one of the most beautiful navigable river system that gives you a very wide selection of courses : the canal from the Rhône to the Rhin (in fact, the Doubs is one of the most lovely rivers in France) with Besançon ant its citadel of Vauban, Baume-les-Dames, the attraction of villages from Franche-Comté, the wildlife and Flora beauty in a marvellous deep valley ; the full of fish Saône that you will sail up to Port-sur-Saône or Champigny-les-Langres, or the canal of Burgundy beyond Saint-Jean-de-Losne
